Market News

After the barbecues of Memorial Day weekend, it’s time for some lighter fare from the Nyack Farmers’ Market !

Teliaferro Farms has a variety of organically grown and foraged greens to pair with greenhouse tomatoes or strawberries from the Orchards of Conklin for a scrumptious salad. And don’t forget to grab some rhubarb while it’s in season–try adding some to a smoothie for a healthy treat!

Throw another shrimp on the barbie! Or sauté some with La Talaye’s Jalapeño Coconut-Lime Sauce for a quick weeknight meal (recipe below). American Pride Seafood has amazingly fresh and delicious whole fish, filets, seafood steaks, and shellfish to help you lighten up, even when you light up the grill!

Sponsors Green Meadow Waldorf School and Green Mountain Energy will be joining us at the market this week, along with our resident Naturalist Educators from InSTEAD and the folks behind the Nyack Basics Campaign .

This week’s market forecast calls for warm weather with afternoon thunderstorms possible, so be sure to bring an umbrella for your trip around the market in the Main Street Parking Lot this Thursday from 8am-2pm !
