Introduces New Board
Nyack, NY, January 16, 2018 ― The Nyack Chamber of Commerce has announced its slate of events for 2018 — a wide variety of family- friendly activities that includes street fairs, Earth Day, Classic Car Night, Motorcycle Expo, and the annual Halloween Parade. Nyack’s Halloween celebration is now ranked by travelchannel.com as 4th best in the nation.
The annual calendar closes with a holiday tree lighting and gift fair. The Chamber also runs the Nyack Farmers’ Market, which offers fresh, local produce and artisanal goods year-round.
“Chamber activities attract over 125,000 visitors to the village every year, and the number continues to grow,” said newly-elected Chamber President Roger Cohen. “I’m pleased to lead the effort in 2018, and to welcome new members to our Board.”
See page 2 for a listing of 2018 Chamber Board members and staff.
Beyond annual events and activities, the Chamber also co-founded and co-manages Visit Nyack, a regional tourism organization that runs year-long, multi-media marketing campaigns, complete with radio, Internet, public signage and social media — all designed to invite people from across the tri-state area to Nyack. The Chamber partners with Rockland County, New York State agencies and Nyack’s Arts, Crafts and Antiques Dealers’ Association (ACADA) to fund the $100,000 Visit Nyack program.
“Nyack is a special place we call “Art & Soul on the Hudson,” said Cohen. “We welcome everyone to share the experience. Our vibrant, colorful and exciting downtown, fine restaurants and casual eateries, theatre, music, and arts organizations, eclectic shops and riverfront parks offer something for everyone.”
